Korea Staybook helps independent travelers choose where to stay in Seoul, Busan, Jeju and other Korean destinations. Our guides begin with a practical travel decision: arriving late, catching an early train, traveling with children, moving without a car, or choosing between neighborhoods with different strengths.
We do not publish paid rankings. A hotel, booking platform or tourism business cannot purchase a favorable conclusion. When a guide contains a verified affiliate link, it is clearly identified. How each guide is researched
We start with current official sources, such as a hotel’s own website, a transport operator, an airport, a city tourism organization or a government tourism service. We then compare map routes, booking conditions and multiple public traveler observations to identify practical issues that may not be obvious from promotional photographs.
Time-sensitive facts are checked close to publication. These may include transport access, check-in policies, room categories, facility schedules and seasonal services. Prices and availability change too quickly to present as permanent facts, so readers are asked to verify the live rate and terms for their own dates.
What our recommendations mean
“Best” only makes sense for a defined trip. A hotel near Seoul Station may be a strong choice for an early KTX but a weak choice for a traveler whose evenings are concentrated in another district. A Jeju resort may suit a family planning slow days at the property but create unnecessary driving for a short island circuit.
For that reason, our articles explain who an option suits, what the main trade-off is, and which alternative deserves comparison. We separate verified facts from editorial judgment and avoid claiming a personal stay unless that experience can be documented.
Corrections and updates
Hotels change names, room categories, policies and operating arrangements. Transport schedules also change. Each article should show enough source information for readers to recheck important details. When we discover a material error, we correct it and update the review date where appropriate.
